About STARS
STARS in an online, Internet based pupil tracking and assessment system. Accessible from any computer connected to the Internet, STARS helps you track and assess pupils throughout their school career. STARS has been designed by schools for schools.
Having been nationally recognised with a Leading Aspect Award, STARS has been designed by teachers for teachers, ensuring that the tracking of pupil progress and achievement throughout all their school years is as comprehensive and efficient as possible.
Easily accessible, STARS enables you to record achievements on pre-installed assessments including end of Key Stage results for all the core subjects, optional tests and a range of recognised achievements such as NFER, CAT scores and all the elements of the Foundation Stage Profile. You can also quickly set up packages to record any assessment information that you wish to track.
With increasing demands upon schools to record pupil achievements for tracking progress, STARS is designed so that you can record information efficiently and, at a glance, evaluate the data to inform future planning. Unlike other systems, STARS allows all staff to record data, set up personalised achievements or evaluate pupil performance at the same time. The system is specifically designed to enable easy access to a range of graphs that highlight pupil achievement. Moreover it enables you to compare pupil performance in a single year or over time. There is also the flexibility to identify individual elements of an achievement for one pupil, a class or group.
STARS automatically identifies SEN groups and also allows you to set up other groups that you wish to track such as 'Gifted & Talented', extra-curricular activities or any other group within your school to track against measured outcomes. STARS allows you record and celebrate pupil achievement in a range of assessments beyond the classroom giving you a clear picture of the whole child.
STARS is constantly being updated to incorporate the latest initiatives in education such as 'Every Child Matters', 'Healthy Schools Check' and 'Self-Assessment'.
Graph Results

Graph Progress
| Progress graphs are easy to create, showing the progress pupils make over any period for which results have been recorded. The graph quickly shows pupils who need intervention, those who have reached a plateau in their learning, those making the required progress and pupils who are working at higher levels. |

Compare Over Time

Graphs can be created showing results over two or more periods to plot the results achieved. These graphs quickly shows where pupils are making the expected progress or where intervention is needed. |
Simple Result Entry
| Entering achievement results is quick and simple. STARS already knows the possible values for each assessment package so all you have to do is click in a result box then select the correct value. If you'd rather type in the results then you can do that too, STARS will check each result as it's entered and let you know if you've entered an incorrect value. |

View Pupil Details
|
Quickly and easily view pupil details. All of the pupil information can be accessed from just one screen allowing you to quickly see the personal information and assessment details recorded for the pupil. From this one screen you can compare results against classes or groups of pupils, create graphs and reports and record notes or other details for the pupil.
STARS automatically tracks pupils with SEN and also shows you the history of the Special Education Needs for the pupil. You can create your own groups of pupils so that you can compare and assess these groups against other pupils or groups in the school. Information such as English as an Additional Language, Free School Meals and the year the pupil joined the school can be quickly recorded. This information will then be highlighted whenever pupil information is being viewed. Documents can be uploaded and stored with the pupil making important information available to you wherever you are without having to keep a paper copy. This is especially useful for Statements, IEP, school reports or even a piece of work produced by the pupil that you would like to keep a record of. Notes can be added to the pupil information so that important information is shared with other members of staff. |
