NOTE: Only an administrator may change the details of user accounts.
Once you have logged into STARS and are at the Home page, follow these steps to change the role of an account:
- From the menu bar, click 'User→Change'.
- Select the username of the person having their account role changed from the drop-down list.
- Click 'Accept' to continue.
- STARS will display the details for this account. Confirm you have selected the correct account before proceeding.
- From the 'User Login Type' drop-down, select the appropriate level of access.
- You may also change the First, Middle and Last name of the account holder during this step.
- Click 'Accept' to confirm the changes.
Menu options are split into 3 groups. In general, these allow the following access to STARS:
- READ ONLY: Allows a user to view details and produce graphs.
- STANDARD: As READ ONLY but also allows entering results, changing details and setting up groups.
- ADMIN: As STANDARD but also allows configuration and maintenance of the STARS software at your site.
A fourth option is also available for standalone servers (customers who have a server installed at their site):
- SUPER USER: As ADMIN but also allows configuration and maintenance of the STARS server installed at your site.
